Based in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, The Wadsten Group is a firm that specializes in consulting real estate developers. With a focus on marketing and sales, they have carved a niche market along the southeastern seaboard by concentrating on multi-family resort communities that can serve as primary or secondary residences.

Founded in 2006 by Gary Wadsten, The Wadsten Group has created a presence from North Myrtle Beach, SC to the Golden Isles of Georgia through a highly experienced sales team. The firm currently serves as the managing partner of Carolina Holdings Group.

The Settlement at Ashley Hall

Steeped in a rich history dating back to the mid-1600s, The Settlement at Ashley Hall is located on the bluffs of the Ashley River. This 44-acre waterfront refuge of protected heritage oaks, magnolias and grand trees will include 47 exclusive, Charleston-style homes. The development offers million-dollar waterfront homesites and interior lot/home packages starting from the mid-$600’s.

As the managing partner of Carolina Holdings Group, The Wadsten Group is involved in the development of The Cottages at Jekyll Island. Located in Georgia on 14 acres with 2,000 feet of beach frontage, the site consists of 122 cottage-style townhomes and features a million-dollar oceanfront pool and clubhouse with a fully outfitted fitness center.

Located on Jekyll Island, Georgia, Ocean Oaks is a joint venture between Carolina Holdings Group, a firm managed by The Wadsten Group, and Delaware-based Leon N. Weiner & Associates. The site consists of 33 single-family homes and six duplex residences. Ocean Oaks is situated on nine acres and features a beautiful boardwalk that leads to the beach.

On the banks of the Jekyll Sound and adjacent to Jekyll Harbor Marina on Jekyll Island, Georgia, you'll find The Moorings at Jekyll Harbor. There will only be 39 three-bedroom flats ranging from 1,700 to 2,000 square feet and 9 raised townhomes available for purchase. The beach and Beach Village are just a short bike ride away from The Moorings.

Through Carolina Holdings Group, The Wadsten Group is a partner of Kiawah Riverview — a gated, waterfront enclave located on 11 acres along the Kiawah River. The community is just a short walk to the beach and features a dock and kayak launch. Each residence is entitled to a membership at the exclusive Kiawah Island Club.

Bellasera
on the Waterway

A gated community with 61 residences constructed by DR Horton, Bellasera on the Waterway was developed by The Wadsten Group as managing partner of Carolina Holdings Group. This waterfront community is located on 13 acres with 400 feet of frontage along the Intracoastal Waterway in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Over 40 families reside at Bellasera today.

The Cottages
at 7th Ave

As the managing partner of Carolina Holdings Group, The Wadsten Group developed the Cottages at 7th Ave, a 10-acre neighborhood only five blocks from the oceanfront in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. This resort-style neighborhood has 105 cottage-style residences featuring pastel colors, raised seam metal roofs, golf cart garages and a large pool complex with covered pavilion and bar area.

Tasked with marketing the neighborhood, The Wadsten Group produced great sales for Day Beacon, a development located inside a breakwater on the Intracoastal Waterway in Belhaven, North Carolina. With only 36 villas, it was built with high quality materials and designed to maximize waterfront enjoyment with each residence receiving its own separately deeded boat slip.

Marketed and sold by The Wadsten Group, Slash Creek offers two-bedroom, creek-side villas in Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. These waterside residences come with a covered deck and separately deeded boat slip. Each building features an elevator and lush landscaping. Interiors are equipped with high quality materials, security systems and custom cabinetry.

President

Gary Wadsten has a reputation for developing quality communities that are well suited and respectful to the land and its surroundings. He has more than 30 years of acquisition, development, financial accountability, budgeting, strategic planning, sales and marketing experience. Before founding The Wadsten Group, Gary had a successful career with Wyndham Worldwide as senior vice president, managing the Mid-Atlantic Business Unit for Wyndham Vacation Ownership with a budget of $170 million and approximately one thousand employees.

Chief Operating Officer

Donelle has a proven track record with over ten years of experience in the financial planning and real estate industries. This prior experience has prepared her well to serve as The Wadsten Group’s chief operating officer. Donelle's primary responsibilities focus on the efficient management of the firm's development projects. These include weekly progress meetings with each project team, budgeting, financial reconciliation with project budgets and reporting.

Daniel has worked with some of the largest single-family home builders as well as the largest land developer in the Southeast. He has managed sales for several multi-million dollar residential and resort projects in Myrtle Beach, SC and Jekyll Island, GA and is an expert in new project sales - the most recent project produced $25+ million in sales over 18 months. As a licensed agent since 2002, Daniel has earned a solid reputation as an expert in every aspect of real estate from land to residential sales and fractional ownership. He has also taken on the responsibility of training, oversight and management of sales staff.

Tami Zerbst is an experienced, licensed South Carolina real estate broker involved with new home sales since 2007. Tami built a successful career with Carolina One Real Estate in Charleston, SC before being recruited to lead new project home sales in South Carolina for The Wadsten Group and its clients. She is an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) and also earned her Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist certification from the National Association of Realtors®.
